Psalm 16:10 — For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.
Both the apostle Peter and the apostle Paul quoted Psalm 16:10 in their preaching to show that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was prophesied in Scripture. According to the Spirit-inspired word of God, the Lord would not let His “holy one see corruption.”
Jesus’ dead physical body was buried in a rich man’s tomb, but His body was glorified by resurrection power and never decayed. The physical body of Jesus was alive not due to bios (natural, mortal) life, but due to zoe (supernatural, eternal) life. Jesus had a perfect physical body that was in union with His perfect soul and spirit. Spirit, soul, and body, Jesus is all that we as human beings could ever hope to be.
Jesus knew the prophetic scriptures regarding His life, so He told the disciples that He would be crucified and then raised again on the third day. I have to marvel at Jesus’ faith in God’s word. All those hours of torment and torture before the cross would have made most of us quit believing; but Jesus forged ahead and endured the physical and spiritual agonies of the cross. He believed that through His death, eternal life would conquer sin, death, and darkness.
Jesus allowed Himself to be offered as a sacrifice, for He knew He was the Lord’s holy One and His Father would not abandon Him.
You are in Christ today, so you are the Lord’s holy One and your Father will not abandon you. He will give you the power of zoe life to sustain you. You always have this living hope because you are in the holy One, Jesus Christ.

[10] 주님께서 나를 보호하셔서 죽음의 세력이 나의 생명을 삼키지 못하게 하실 것이며 주님의 거룩한 자를 죽음의 세계에 버리지 않으실 것이기 때문입니다."
[10] For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.
For a while, it seemed as if the power of death would swallow me up, and I staggered for a moment, wondering if I would fall like this. Peter and the Apostle Paul also suffered much bitterness and ridicule while preaching Jesus. How much more so would the agony that came to me be incomparable. The Lord promised to protect me and keep me from being swallowed up by the power of death and promised…
