Proverbs 12:19 — Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Jesus is the Truth. The devil is a liar. Jesus and His Kingdom will last forever. The devil will be cast into the lake of fire and never be remembered. Although liars and their lies seem to have power and authority in this present day, one day they will be gone and forgotten forever. But the Truth is forever established in heaven and it/He will never pass away.
Truthful lips are connected to hearts that love the truth, Jesus Christ. Truthful lips communicate eternal realities like the love of God for sinners, the great way of salvation by grace through faith, and the blessing of living in obedience to God’s word in daily life.
A lying tongue is connected to a heart darkened by lies, pride, and selfishness. A lying tongue communicates false teachings, half-truths, sly deceptions, and the propaganda of Satan’s world system that opposes the gospel.
It is important for the believer’s heart to be established in the truth so that his or her life communicates Jesus Christ. Jesus is the one who can deliver souls from the lies that ensnare them which keep them from coming to the knowledge of the truth. Knowing Jesus, the Truth, sets captives free from the seducing lying spirits from hell.
May Jesus be your strength and your song today (Psalm 118:14), and may the music of your life be a sweet song of truth to the Lord and to all those who are around you.

[5] But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. [6] He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.
